It's not an acting class.
It's a life skills class.

Yes, And! Kids uses improv and theatre games as a joyful vehicle for something much bigger: helping kids build confidence in themselves, their ideas, and their ability to notice and connect with the emotions of others.

“Yes, and” — the foundational rule of improv — is also a life skill. It teaches kids to listen, accept, and build on each other's ideas. In class, they play games. In life, they use what they practiced.

Confidence

Kids learn to trust their instincts and take creative risks in a safe, supportive space.

Empathy

Movement and character games help children notice how emotion is felt and expressed — in themselves and in others.

Connection

Real, face-to-face play builds the kind of listening and collaboration skills kids use every day.

Why “Yes, and”?

“Yes, and” is the foundational rule of improv. When someone offers you an idea, you accept it (“yes”) and build on it (“and”). It sounds simple. But practiced over time, it becomes a way of moving through the world.

It teaches kids to truly listen before responding. To make space for other people's ideas. To trust that their own ideas are worth offering. To stay present in a conversation instead of waiting for their turn to talk.

In a world moving at an ever faster pace — where screens increasingly mediate connection — these are the skills that matter most. Yes, And! Kids classes are a place where kids practice them, through play, every week.

Parents ask us...

Does my child need acting experience?

Not at all. This is not an acting class. No experience needed — kids who love theatre will have a blast, and kids who have never been on a stage will fit right in.

Is this a therapy class?

No. Yes, And! Kids is a fun, play-based enrichment class — in the same spirit as a music class or movement class. We use improv games to help kids practice real life skills.

How big are the classes?

We keep classes to 8–12 kids so every child gets real attention from Drée.

Will there be more classes after June 20th?

Yes! June 20th is just the beginning. Email us to get on the list for future classes.
